Shane Warne

The full name of Warne is Shane Keith Warne. He was born on 13th of September in the year 1969. He used to play professional cricket for the Australia. This particular player has helped Australia many a times to win matches. Even at very critical stages he helped the decision to go in Australia’s favor.

He is regarded as one greatest bowler from Australia. He was a specialist leg spin bowler. In his cricketing career, Shane has confused almost all the batsman with his spin bowling.He used to turn the ball a lot and used to deliver googly bowling randomly. He had great variations in bowling styling. He was born in Upper Ferntree Gully which is situated in Victoria. The name of his parents is Bridgette and Keith. He spent his childhood in Black Rock of Victoria. He completed his schooling from Oakleigh South Primary School.

The name of his ex wife is Simone Callahan and thee children’s are Summer, Jackson and Brooke. Other than the world of cricket, Warne also has got a foundation which works for underprivileged and also seriously ill children. The foundation was established in the year 2004 and since then it has contributed 400,000 Pounds. This particular cricketer also participates in various campaigns to raise funds for social causes. Even he have decided to organize a poker tournament and the money from this show will be sent to the foundation.

Other than cricket he used to play poker games. He made his first appearance in the Test cricket in the year 1992 and used to hold a world record of highest wicket takers in the test cricket. He has taken 708 wickets in the test cricket. His record was broken on 3rd December in the year 2007 by the Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lankan cricket team. In ODI and test cricket he has taken more than 1000 wickets.

After Muralitharan, Warne is the only cricketer in international level to reach the milestone of 1000 wickets in ODI and Test Cricket. He used to bat in the lower order and was quite successful in scoring essential runs in the final overs of the game. In many cases, he has also helped the team to win the particular match with his bat. In his test career he has got ore than 3000 runs but could not score a single century. In the year 2007, Warne declared his retirement from the Australian Cricket team. After taking retirement from the international cricket, he became the coach cum captain of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and the team to become the champions in the first season of DLF IPL that was held in the year 2008.
